Dana H. Kirby, Principal

Dana Kirby has helped many organizations develop a more effective and powerful sales force.

Dana Kirby founded her business, Kirby and Associates, LLC, in 1991. Initially, she not only secured the business opportunities, but also developed, customized and facilitated basic skills training programs for sales and sales management. After five years, she saw a clear need to move into the arena of solution selling at the executive level. Working with retired “C” level executives, she developed customized training programs, workshops and services focused on the key elements of the executive sale – effective executive communication, in depth financial and business analysis, and a cohesive sales strategy linking the client’s solution to business value for their customer. Retired executives have taught her programs to an international customer base that spans Fortune 500 companies. These companies share a common goal of investing in sales training to build industry leadership and sales excellence.

Dana began her sales career at Xerox Corporation in a direct sales territory. After achieving success in her initial assignment, she moved on to Major and National Account Sales, Product Management and Sales Management. After leaving Xerox, she spent six years working for a high tech start-up company where she achieved recognition as the first person nationally to sell over one million dollars in revenue in a single year.

Prior to beginning her sales career, she counseled soldiers and airmen as they transitioned from serving in Viet Nam to civilian life. She was hand-picked to work with the POWs after their release from prison.

In addition to the recognition Dana has received for her sales and sales management performance, she has also gained community recognition by receiving Betty C. Howard Volunteer Award, an annual award given by the City of Piedmont for service to recreation in Piedmont, CA and the Singer Award, an annual award given by the Piedmont Boy Scouts for outstanding service to the community.

Dana is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Consumer Services in Business and holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. She has been married for 34 years, has two children, one dog, two cats and a parrot.
